This is by far the coolest and scariest thing I have seen all day. It's a fembot, a real robot, and it looks pretty decent. The link gives a quick blurb and a link to some video.
She was used as a tour guide to a big robot expo a few months ago. She is pretty state of the art.
I don't think that we need to worry about a Voight-Kampf empathy test quite yet.
