MAZDA RX-8 2005

good morning guys

my Mazda rx-8 2005 power steering fail and a light came on in the dash with an excalmation sign, but the power steering has no pump its electronic, anyone who knows why I should do to fix it??? I can drive the car but its TO HARD to drive because the power steering its not working?????

excalmation sign usualy means your hand brake is on

Not on my car - it actually says brake- the excalmation point is used for everything else and it could be red or amber - depending on the severity of the problem

Power steering read (elecricaly assisted) fuses yes as pre mentioned if that wont cure it .. try alldata...or..My RX8 had the same problem. First, check your battery cable ends. On the Positive cable there is a white wire that powers the power steering. It probably has a bad connection at the battery post. I cut the end off mine and just put a regular battery cable end on it and my problem was solved.

A recall on certain 2007-2009 Mazdas has been made via the NHTSA (National Highway Transportation Safety Administration), concerning power steering failure. You might want to visit the web site to see if earlier years of your model has been reported or included recently.

Im already check the fuses and the battery cables and the problem didnt fix it!!, thet day that the car wont start a guy Jump it my car with his car, do you think that maybe this cause the problem?? a mechanic told me that if i scan the car and reset the computer using the scanner maybe fix the problem!! what you guys think about that=???????

Disconnect the battery cables for at least 8 hrs and the capacitor within will deplete clearing the ECM.

hey i found the white cable and at the end of the cable i found a relay that is broken im goint to replaced the relay then lets see what happend

hey Guys!! Fix it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, it was the relay at the white cable!! thank you !!!!

now i have my power steering working again!!! thank you!!!
