Help Me Identify This Snap Fastener

03/25/2007 12:24 PM

I was wondering if anyone knew the trade name for this kind of snap fastener. We're trying to manufacture this component and would like to see if these pins can be bought easily. 5.92mm across flats 5.03mm diameter of ball head. Thanks in advance!

I don't know the trade name but it's the ball part of a ball-and-socket snap fastener.

The ball snaps into a spring arrangement in the socket part of the fastener.

You could really just contact a toy company that produce's Radio Controlled car's, gas powered, lithium electric etc. These type of fastener's are very common in that type of industry. I'm sure they would be able to help you, if you need bigger or smaller, Anyhow goto your local R/C hobby store show them the picture they will recognize it.

t I'm looking at appears to be a "ball - stud" fastener.

Try SPAENAUR catalogue page C116 or the Tinnerman website.
