Standard Parameters you say...

1) A hole in the ground.

2) A liner of some sort.

3) The liquid you wish to evaporate.

4) and... Sunlight.

Given the lack of any meaningful data in the question you posed, how could anyone give you any type of real answer.

So as not to confuse Guest, in case this Guest is the same Guest that posted this:Soakway thread.

The general parameters of soakways and solar evaporation ponds are similar. You can convert a soakway to a solar evaporation pond with the addition of 2) above. (A liner of some sort)

However, soakways tend to be deeper and smaller in diameter than solar ponds, and may be less efficient if converted.

I recommend "Soakways and Solar Ponds, the Myths and Mysteries Revealed" published by LynDoor™ Press.
