Read your CEC or NEC for the distances between electrical equipment and other equipment The CEC has 1Meter minimum from the open drawn out position.

Often, Oil Companies will have internal specifications/requirements for equipment spacing---such as 'any pump moving a material above its autoignition temperature shall be at least 5 feet outboard of any overhead pipe-way, air cooler, or electrical /instrumentation raceway AND will have automatic fire detection and sprinkler facilities installed.'
