Lifting Equipments Inspection Agency

03/26/2007 1:27 AM

Is there any authorizing body to grant official recognition / approval for an agency engaged in Lifting Equipments Inspection? We urgently need to be recopgnised or be a member of reputable lifting organisation in India/ Europe/ America /Australia. The main engineer with the Lifting Equipments Inspection Agency has a Lloyds Marine Surveyor background.

In India the State Factory inspector is the authority who gives competency certificate. Every state has its own factory inspector

Take a look at the web sits of some companies from those countries you list, they will most likely detail their certifiying authorites. In depends on what type of lifts you are doing. If you are heavy lifts try Mammoet, PSC Heavy Lift, Abnormal Load Engineering or ALE Lastra, if it is just cranes there are too many to list. Google is always a good start.
