Effect of the Over and Under Excitation on Generator

what is the effect of the over and under excitation on generator

and which one of them can effect on the stator and which on rotor?

can generator work with maximum value of -MVAR for long time why?

By over excitation, you may get injured while working on generator. Under excitation may cause slow rate and further delay in work on generator..
