TP200 Extended force module impact on PH10

03/28/2007 2:18 AM

Dear friends,

I am using 300 mm extension on my DEA Global 30.12.10 CMM and often getting my machine picking up air points.Would using TP200 extended force module(presently using Medium force TP200)solve this issue.

What will be the impact of this new module on my PH10 head.

Regards,

Rams

I am sure you understand that the "air points" are the result of inertia. I have experienced the same problem with TP20's, especialy in out of vertical positions. In going to the extended force module, I encountered a drop in accuracy. Our solution was to just slow the traverse rate enough to avoid the inertial effects.
