Research on Piezoelectric/Magnetostrictive

01/18/2011 12:54 AM

I want to learn about piezo-ceramics and magnetostrictive technologies.

Short practical courses , workshops or research on this subject that I could participate will be of grate interest to me.

I am working in instrumentation and controls for the petrochemical industry.

I will appreciate any information that I can get on this technology.

Thanks

The best place to start is an internet search as there is plenty of useful information available on the internet including general information, current research developments and products, applicable books to purchase on the subject, free e-books and even course notes.

I know of no specific courses covering just this (this being a rather small part of a specialised subject), but you may find one in the free online university or piezoelectric company resources.

Thanks for your help.Yes ,I found some piezo-ceramics courses in the internet .

The one I am interested about is done by Noliac in Atlanta Georgia .Two day course

for $1000. It covers some theory and practical demonstrations.

We attended a compulsory refreshing course on High Voltage in Sydney done by

Energy Australia three day for $1500, in this case paid by my employer. The prices compare.
