Painting Requirement for Buried Application

Dear All,

Painting being carried out for buried installation, I have two queries :-

(1)- bonnet studs & nuts of top entry valves shall be protected from blast cleaning?

(2)- valve including bolting has to be completely painted in order to ensure continuity of the coating?

As a general engineering practice, I would say "YES", though some advise from Painting experts would be much appreciated. Please confirm, it's urgent...
