Of prime importance to a design engineer is the ability to find information. I suggest you try to find the information yourself.

First of all learn to write "Engineer".

Second thing, try to check spelling.

Good motor or goods motor??....Do you want to be good? or Motor is to be good?...R&D means Research and Duplicate??..

Welcome to CR4 again Mike. i thought, from your name, you are more likely to be a westerner, and so my earlier response was based on that, sorry. Refer your earlier thread http://cr4.globalspec.com/thread/64678

Now that we know you are in Bangalore, the comment is all the more true. You need to be even more a genaralist than a specialist. Whether you are called an R&D Engineer or a Design Engineer, the job spec will most likely to be the same. If you think great fundamental research projects will be entrusted to you, you are sadly mistaken. Such things, if at all given, will be to PhDs of proven track record. You will have to work for years as a design engineer and prove yourself to your management that you are capable of fundamental research work, to get there.

Good luck.

One more thing, please do not post duplicate threads, thank you.

No problem, you will get a good one i am sure. As Rancho says in "3 Idiots", focus on excellence, success will come automatically to you. God bless.
