SF and BF on S7-300 PLC

01/26/2011 1:11 PM

Hi there

I have PLC s7-300 with CpU 315 2DP with 3 PROFIBUS ( 1 OP 177, 3 SEW motor driver and one connection to another PLC S7-300) and one CP341 modbus slave for communication to central DCS.

I have started PLC without configuration of CP341 and all devices was in service, but when I configur CP 341 and download hardware and software to PLC SF led lighted up and BF LED blinking.

The diagnostic buffer of CPU is as follow:

Diagnostic buffer of module CPU 315-2 DP

I am by no means a PLC guru but I suspect a software conflict being that the problem developed after you downloaded software and the error "STOP due to: STOP caused by stop switch being activated". Something in the logic config changed.

Have you tried contacting Siemens Tech Support?

In addition, try a Google search of "PLC s7-300 and CP341 modbus slave".

Sorry to not have been of more assistance - Good Luck

I found this manual.

Check out page 29

I think you should connect the partner hardware to CP341. If not, there will be an error on CP341.
