Firstly, abbreviation for volt is V and not v, similarly A and not a, W and not w. This is so as SI mentions that abbreviation for name of scientist should be capitalised. kVA is kilo-volt-ampere. It is apparent power (without considering power factor). You must be knowing apparent, active, reactive power/energy. kWh is kilo-watt-hour. It is active energy. kVAh is kilo-volt-ampere-hour. It is apparent energy.
