Weight Calculation Software

From 2D detail drawing, without converting these drg to 3D model is there any software available to find out the weight of the part..

I've never checked it out , but eMachineShop might be what your after (?) . I think the idea is that a home designer can submit drawing/material spec for a production quote . The software download may include the facility you want. It's a long shot , but any port...

If you are using AutoCad you simply create a region of the cross-section and obtain the geometry's mass properties. Multiply the area by thickness or length, multiply by the density (.283 lb/in3 for steel) and voila, you have the weight. If other cad software doesn't do section properties you might try the section add on at the previously mentioned site.

Thickness =T Width=W Lenght=L

If all else fails T X W X L X .2833 = WEIGHT
