Core Grounding Testing

for core grounding testing, how are we disconnecting the intentional core ground to connect the test equipment lead between the core ground and the tank ground.

The core ground bonding conductor is usually either just inside one of the top openings (hand-holes) on the transformer tank, or else inside a small terminal box on the top of the transformer with a small bushing inside. You disconnect the conductor at that point, and measure the resistance there.
