Cable Installation from VFD to Dynamic Braking Resistor

The dynamic braking resistor dissipates regenerative power during braking the motor by braking chopper. Single conductor cables are used for VFD to Braking Resistor. It is DC circuit. The braking chopper triggers on and off repeatedly due to actual operation. The DC cable installation is not limited to any special requirement in bunching cables or laying cables. However, someone says that IEC 60092-352 should be applied because braking chopper is on/off, on/off,....

IEC 60092-352 is applicable to single conductor cables installation for 3 phase AC circuit. is it right if this cables are applied to IEC60092-352 like AC circuit ? I am against that because repeated on/off does not drop below zero.

IEC60092-352 appears to specifically relate to electrical wiring installations on ships.

I do not have a copy of the standard (which doesn't help), but what exactly is the IEC60092-352 requirement(s) that you are trying to avoid in your particular application? Cable sizing perhaps? Just how far are the breaking resistor(s) from the drive?

Who is this someone, and what does your overall specification say. If it is only going to increase the cost a little then it may be worth installing the DC breaking resistor wiring to IEC60092-352, especially if the (client) believes so or there is a possibility you may need to modify your wiring later to meet IEC60092-352 (at your expense).

A close look through IEC60092-352 may shed more light on your question.
