Can anyone please explain what a ramp up model is. I have a customer claiming one for a product (small PCB), heard the term of ramp up, but not ramp up model. thank you.

To me a ramp up model could refer to a number of things. The first that comes to mind is production ramp up--if he's a customer for a lot of these items, and you have never built them before, he may want to know how quickly you can "ramp up" to full production to supply his need.

To be more clear, you have to ask your customer what he means by ramp up model. Ask him if he's talking about production ramp up. (Or maybe he means an auto ramp up of volume on an amplifier, or, if you are building a production facility for him, he may (similar to the first, but slightly different), want to know how long it will take him to ramp up from startup to full production.

Talk to your customer / potential customer.
