Pulmonary TB

03/04/2011 2:57 AM

Hi!

I'm very curios about my health. I was an athletic student(swimmer & other sports) in my college days, but after i graduated, take a review and pass the board exam, and got a medical exam for a job: I was shocked by the result of my chest x-ray. pulmonary tb at right apical lung. our family has no backround of this kind of disease.

My question is:

1. Where does i get this disease?

2. what are the possible causes of this kind of illness?

3. they said, if you will be medicated. there will be a sacr in you lungs, is ther a chance that this scar will vanished?

thanks.

Here's where I go when I have a medical question. Best of luck!

Tuberculosis is a contagious disease. Presumably you were exposed somehow to someone who has / had it, or is carrying the bacteria or virus that causes it (I don't know which). I'm pretty sure one vector of transmission is through the air via things like sneezing.

(I am not a doctor.)
