Question About Rectifiers

03/17/2011 3:42 AM

Dear sir, i made one rectifier bridge with IN4007 Diodes.and then applied ac voltage from 0 to 15 volts(A.C) to bridge then i measured the output of rectifier there i found low voltage than i applied up to 9 volts of A.C after that i found gradually increasing of voltage than i applied.why it is so happening please tell me thanking you sir.

For bridge rectifier when a load is connected at its output then roughly calculate the out put by using following formula;

Vout = ((Vin x 1.414) - 1.4) x 0.636

Your statement "gradually increasing of voltage" is an un-understandable matter for me.
