A&B and Link-Sys

03/19/2011 4:03 PM

Can anyone help me with connecting to a Slick 504 Plc with Link-sys?

I have the program and the software, and the cable from the PC to the PLC.

Just can not get the Rs500 to connect thru Link-sys.

The cable connects directly to the com port of the PC and plugs into the CPU.

Know it is the correct cable as it has worked on other PLCs in the past.

The integrator left the program, the system was shut down with a bad bat and now needs to be reloaded after new bat has been installed.

Appreciate any help or directions or sites where information is available.

Check your baud rate, IP settings and so forth. If all else fails give tech support a call.

If you run into issues with them let me know. I can see if I can find my old Ph#'s and put you in contact with one of the guys. I spent (wasted) 20 years of life selling AB controls.

Check the processor version, to the version of software. It sounds like a miss match. A/B is good at up-dating hardware, so you have to buy new software.
