I need a PE to certify screw stength

03/22/2011 9:12 AM

hi all,

I don't know if this is the correct place to ask this, but I need to hire someone (or a company) that can review a design, perform the calculations, and certify the greatest safe pressure for the screws being used at a temperature of 200C.

The screws being used are certified to the National Aerospace Standard, so I have all of the technical informaion on them.

I will provide the assembly drawing and piece part drawings, along with the data sheet for the screws.

Please respond to this thread, or send me a PM.

thanks

This is something any competent test lab can do.

We don't need a test lab, we have many applicatins in the field over the last 10 years that show that the screws do not fail under the proposed conditions.

Unfortunately, we have a potential customer that is demanding calculations that show that the screws will not fail.
