how to calculate the thickness of electrode clamps for a submerged arc furnace of 10 MVA .what are the parameters we have to know the same

You need to know the manufacturers design specification, unless you intend to redesign the clamp arrangement.

What is you ultimate goal with this?

I have to extend the bus bar 10 meter away from the existing furnace at where we are constructing 2nd furnace.There are practical difficulties to shift the transformer as well near to 2nd one.Also we are desided to change the no. of clamps per electrode into 6 intead of 8
