which is the right freequency probe and methode if ---

i) if we are using UT for detection of flaw in a bell shape casting(hollow) with wall thickness 70 mm.

2) a cast iron rim(ring) with u section( cup shape /counter bore).

3) a 4 meter long C45 shaft with450 mm dia having machining center at both ends.

The question implies that you are not a qualified UT Technician/ Inspector. Even if we answer it here it wouldn't solve the problem.

Get hold of a qualified technician to do the job.

The Frequency and method (Shear, Straight, Double Crystal,...) depends upon the flaw size, and expected location/ orientation.

BTW: Is it a class assignment question?

What is the material,cast or forged, is it heat treated, what is the application, which flaw orientation is the most critical ?????.

As stated above you need to consult ,as a minimum, a design engineer and a level 3 in UTE to arrive at a proper procedure.
