I my experience Corrugated roofing is installed with Tek Screws

Metal roofing:

Polycarbonate:

or

here is a summary of fixing methods:

<http://www.buildex.com.au/pdf/Roofing_selection-chart.pdf>

Also be aware that there are minimum screw spacings, and the requirement for an oversized hole to be drilled under the rubber washer to allow for thermal expansion of the polycarbonate - thus the integral cutters on some of the polycarbonate screws.

If you don't use these screws you will need a separate cutter to drill the appropriate sized hole before inserting each screw.

Alternatively if you are using the LEXAN style multiwall polycarbonate flat sheeting

you probably need to use the manufacturers proprietary installation hardware eg:

Adhesive if used would be a roofing silicone sealant. Do not use clear sealant it will eventually peel from the polycarbonate in a short time use the gray colored type as it resists the UV best.

Normally Tek screws with rubber bumpers are used to secure this material the sealant is only used for repairs not to secure the roofing.
