Logo Logic Module

04/08/2007 3:04 PM

Does anyone know how to program a logo logic module. I need to connect the logo to a level sensing device whose output is a voltage proportional to its angle of tilt. The voltage at the input must be held for the duration of the program cycle time cause the logo does not react fast however the level sensing device will be varying. Any suggestions for a circuit ?

Siemens specs don't say much about the CPU speed (that I could find in a quick spec scan) but I did find a sensor sampling rate of 50mS which leads me to think the Logo's scan cycle is near that time as well. This leads me to ask about the application, what is tilting and why did you select the Logo's or was it already an existing controller? How is your application working at this time?

The really big question is do you have a buget to improve your system? There are far better and cost effective PLC's on the market. An Allen-bradley Micro Logic or Seimens SIMATIC S7-200 micro PLC are good examples.

If your signal is an analog level is easiest use an Zelio than an Logo. Zelio are easy programmable relay made for Telemecanique.
