Residue Point

04/05/2011 5:43 AM

Hi

How will I find out the residue point for a lubricating oil which as ISO VG 32? It is needed to calculate the steam flow rate in order to avoid the deposit on the other components while it contacts with atomsphere pressure?

Regards

The manufacture of the oil. As each manufacture adds proprietary wear additives to their oils. With out knowledge of what the additives are, it's impossible to tell. Each of these will change the residue curve.
