Company That is Capable of Rebuilding 6 Stage Centac

I am searching a company other than the obvious that could 0verhaul a Ingersoll Rand Model: C-150 (M4-B2). this is one of two unique Compressors and we have them both. The final three stages all run at 29,000 rpm. They are rated to run at 720 psi but are restricted to 665 by blow-off valves. They have not been overhauled since 1979-1980 when they set in place. The booster section of one had the turbines repaired aprox. 2 years ago.

The most important informations are missing in your post:

1. What size/ kW is the machine?

2. Location of installation? Do not expect company a company thousands of miles away will be interested to do your job.

3. Do you have required spares available? What problems you have with the machine?

Not sure where your located as others have stated. If your State side, there are several companies that are more then qualified. But, I am curious why you would not go back to the manufacture. They have the best warranties and knowledge of the unit.

If the Ingersoll Rand compressors are two of a kind, it seems folly to go to Fred Bloggs & Co. They won't have access to specifications or drawings.

Is your reluctance to involve Ingersoll Rand to do with third party repairs carried out earlier?

We are located in Ohio. The compressor is driven by a 5000hp motor using 5MW per hour. The reason for wanting some else than Ingersoll Rand is that this will be a government contract and there is a requirement for at least three bidders and they are already on the list. We have the room for the refurbishment and we have one machine that will still fulfil our needs. Spare parts here are minimal at best. The machine has lost it's performance value most likely impeller wear being just one of the reasons. There is accessibility to specs. and drawings here. The machine produces approximately 20 lb m/sec of a much larger air pressure system. If you have any more questions specifically I will answer them if allowed.

As suggested by squpek at post 2, I agree TurboCare is a reliable company in this field and they have presence at most parts of the globe. Other companies who can do such jobs are Cameron, ManTurbo(more active in Europe & Asia), Atlas Copco and Siemens Plant Services.
