i wish to know what is sponge testing of welding. is it similar to holiday tests which are conducted on welds. what is the procedure of the same. any help will be appreciated....
It is possible that it refers to the step of sponge along the inside of the pipe to eliminate residues and other objects that remain in the pipe. Normally the sponge is stimulated by air pressure from one end of the pipe to the other end. Common test in coils fabrication.
