Single Phase Energy Meter

04/15/2011 2:22 AM

I am from Bangalore, India.

Presently working on 1ph energy meter. Can any one let me know the process of finding the error for electrical parameters.?

i.e., During using the GUI CALIBRATION technique of energy meter.

Thanks in advance.

I assume this is for a STEVAL-IPE007V1 or similar meter (which looks like a nice lab project to me). Basically you RTFM (Read The Fine Manual) that comes with it or is easily Googled, then find yourself a meter of known accuracy and follow the directions. The manual even tells you what the GUI Calibration Technique is and how to perform it.

Thanks RAMConsult sir,

I am also developing the energy meter with TI's MSP430FE series chip.

Actually I am able to display all the parameters V, I, W, PF, F Wh. WH which is to be incremented & stored in the Eeprom is done. But, if the meter is flashed/ re-programmed also the WH value is remained in the Eeprom eventually it displays.

Please suggest me methods to erase the WH values when the meter is re-programmed.

Thanks in advance

You just touched upon one of the many security features of digital meters, the inability to reset them to zero without tampering with the circuitry. Enough said on the topic.

If erasing the WH value is something you are supposed to be doing, then the method of doing so is obvious. If it's something you are not authorized to do, then it's not so obvious, for obvious reasons
