Heat Dissipation Capacity of Automotive Plate Type Oil Cooler

hey all u elite engrs, can someone help me with a simple and creative way to evaluate heat dissipation capacity of a plate type oil cooler, typically used in automotive engines φ

Hi Abhay,The best would be to get the oil temp going in and out for a start.then the flow rate of the oil and the type of oil used.Now a plate type cooler that uses air to cool you would need to know the temp of the air and the flow rate.Now if it is in the bottom tank of a radiator then the flow and temp of the water.Also why not ask the manufacturer.Just look at the difference in temp of oil and air..
