Dear All

You can but not recommended due to excessive exhaust temperatures. At best the 1.6 kg you indicate is 1.6 kg/cm2 absolute which surpassed vacuum. In order to achieve condensation the exhaust temperature must be lower than 128.5 deg. C which seems to me much higher than normal exhaust temperatures of condensing turbines I have come across (ca. 45 ~ 55 deg. C). The manual or tag plate may indicate the permissible exhaust temperate and pressures. Kind regards, R. Doest

Dear Mr.ianizamani:

Pl. furnish full details such as, Quantity of steam to be extracted, power loss due to extraction at 1.6 Kg. acceptable or not, details of turbine such as vaccuum, steam for ejector, - whether provision is there or not, if so what is the turbine manufacturers data.

I fully agree with rdoest. At 1.6 kg absolue pressure, exhaust temperature will be too high for condensation. Normal exhaust temperature for such turbines is 50 degree C and exhust pressure is 0.2 absolute.
