Hi every body,

IF any body knows why we use HV reactor in series resonance test for high voltage cable testing??how it works?? please advise

I think dv/dt is the concept here.Just like igniting tube light.

Simple explanation is...

Series resonant "Q" voltage multiplication.

Suggest you search for this phrase (or something similar). I could go through equations and derivation here but it is much easier to view one of the many properly formatted derivations available online or in a textbook.

Take a look at this article:

http://www.haefely.com/pdf/scientific/e1-77.pdf

It explains the series resonant testing procedure and the use of the reactor to balance the high capacitance of the cable under test to achieve resonance and reduce the excitation voltage.
