Frequency Convertor Over Current

06/05/2011 6:27 AM

hi

we are going to minstall Frequency Convertor(fc) on some magnetic seperators with 22kw 3 ph 380v 50hz motors,we installed fc in mcc room after start command fc stopped with over current.we changed the parameteres to higher current and...,but fc didnot start.motor capacitor was disconnected and didnot start.we doubled cable size and it didnot start.we replaced fc by a bigger one and didnot start. after moving fc from mcc room to site near motor it started with no problem.motor is 150m far from mcc.what can be the reason of this.

tnx to all

The distance! The cables from fc to motor will need to be properly sized and screened for such a distance: Critical ... Standing waves ... read the fc guide to installation and there should be guidance for such long cablings!

"but fc didnot start.motor capacitor was disconnected"

If this capacitor was at the motor, you probably destroyed the drive.

Never use a capacitor at the output of a drive.
