Helicopters

what are the elements embeded in helicopters that are protecting the helicopters from crashes or hitting obstacles at present ??? are there any latest equipments that can reduce the dissasters atleast to some extent ???

Sounds like a homework assignment. If not my apologies. I did a google search, clicked on the first thing I saw and it mentioned..... terrain awareness and warning systems for helicopters.

Try google for an answer.
