Axial Compressor

06/11/2011 5:19 AM

I am trying to write a computer code in fortran 90 for an axial compressor of a turbo jet engine. I am facing a problem that is of only having two inputs:

1.compressor pressure ratio

2. compressor inlet diameter

Help me out by giving different mathematical expressions to calculate rpm, blade angles, air angles, pressure and temperature after every stage.

Do your own homework. CR4 is not a homework cheat site. While some here might relish the opportunity to sharpen up old rusty skills by working the homework problem, consider the following and consider it well. If you cheat on your homework by using someone else's answers, you are only cheating yourself, because the purpose of any homework or other academic assignments is to help you learn - by practice, repetition, and self-discovery.

Please refer any of good thermodynamics or power plant engineering or Mechanical engineering hand books, you will get all relevant formula. Sometime Fortran code may be also available. Best Wishes.

Fortran90?

Is that still used in the real world?
