Plotting A Graph

06/17/2011 5:52 AM

hi all...

i have some test results with me.

i tested one job for vibration testing at different 8 points.

every time i attached an accelerometer to one point and took a frequency sweep of 10- 80 Hz.

i got values of acceleration at 510 instances for 10- 80 hz.

I want graph of 'g' level Vs frequency.

but excel is giving me graph of 'g' level Vs instances... ie it is plotting 1-510 on x axis instead of 10-80...

eg:my values are

FREQUENCYpoint 1
X Unit(Hz)Y Unit(gn)
X ValueY Value(Mag)
101.001883583
10.040776480.99476612

Select the data, then use the chart wizard and select X-Y (scatter), with joined-up lines, thus:

There's the result:

I left off all the fancy titles etc., but you should get the idea.
