Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares

12/27/2004 5:25 AM

Forty-Sixer 4811 writes "The past few Tuesday nights, I've watched a show on BBC America called Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. The premise - Gordon Ramsay, a world-renowned professional chef visits the kitchens of terrible English restaurants and attempts to save them by educating the chef, kitchen staff, and owners about how to run a restaurant. This generally consists of berating the staff with a lot of "blue" language, before teaching them how to cook. While I enjoy the obvious humor these situations create and the fact that it's a food-centric show, the focus, in the end, comes down to two things 1) Learn what your potential customers want and confirm your business plan to this. 2) Learn how to manage your coach, train and manage your staff since firing isn't always the best option. Americans who love to watch the apprentice thinking it's a show about "business" should focus their attention here. It'll be far more helpful to their careers to watch this show. Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares is on BBC America, Tuesday at 9:00. Then if you want a real crack, watch Holiday Showdown at 10:00!"

Ramsay! He's just a Bl***y cook! He's also an aggressive little...anyway, did you see Gordan Ramsay's 'The F word' where he gets celebrities to try really ghastly 'regional delicacies'? On one particular episode, his guest, James May, Known to all true petrol heads as 'Captain Slow' from Top Gear, was given some Icelandic dish consisting of rotten shark, washed down with rattle snake whisky. 'A bit chewy' was Mays response, as Ramsey puked his ring into a bucket! (Literally)

Lightweight!
