What is loss of excitation and how we are testing it with omicron kit?

You could always try Viagra along with the Omicron kit.

Should get you excitation going.

Loss of excitation occurs in ac machine when the field current falls zero, usually due to an open circuit somewhere in the excitation system. If in an alternator the output goes to zero, if in a motor it stops doing any work. Googled on the omicron kit and couldn't get a hit on "loss of excitation" or "excitation" so you'll have to do your own homework on that topic.
