Delta Formation on Isolated Phase Bus Duct

07/21/2011 12:28 AM

When connecting a hydrogenerator to unit transformer, isolated phase bus duct is used. But why the delta formation has to be done in bus duct itself, and not in transformer windings. I was of the opinion that delta formation is done by an arrangement of windings of three single phase transformers. Or, delta formation is possible also in segregated bus duct?

Regards,

sks

We are producer of busduct since 1959 and the delta formation is possible only in theory but not in pratical.

So, us, like all the other producers makes only busduct with phases in parallel, not delta.
