Filler Wire for ASTM B677

07/24/2011 3:53 PM

Hi everybody,

In our new project i found a material spec. ASTM B677, UNS N08926 , P No-45 ,Chemical composition (24Ni-20Cr-6Mo-Cu-N), seamless pipe, most of all comes below 2"., So can i use INCO-182 filler wire? Is it correct one? Is there any other filler wire suits more for welding with GTAW process? Please give me a suitable answer(filler wire)

regards,

vishnu.

Vish,

You have two options for filler wire use for this alloy. You could use either ER904L or ER385 to UNS N08904. Either should work just fine for your application. I would suggest you seek out the supplier "Avesta Welding" for more specific information about their brand names.

Good luck!
