What do you mean by "not on DC"? It "works", but what are you trying to do with it?

There are many thousands (probably more like millions or billions) of capacitors in service in DC circuits. They are used for filtering, pulsing, clamping, short term power, etc.

can inductors work on DC/

as in inductance, if curent is constant induced v=0....so wil it work on DC with constant current???

i think google has lost the market to CR4 . . . CR4 is so easy to use . . . just ask . . . so many people search and it is more effective because the results are filtered and brought to you after careful sorting . . . .
