Current & Voltage Operating Semiconductor Device

how can i know that whether the semiconductor device is current operating or voltage operating?

Read your textbook.

You always could read the manufacturer's data sheet, too.

As a final resort, you can change the current without changing the voltage or change the voltage without changing current and observe.

You DO NOT. A device has characteristics, defined by physics. There is no choice for you. Now, you decide, how to USE a device.

Example: a power Mosfet can be used as a parallel resistor, a series resistor, a good switch, a poor capacitor. What do you want? More exactly, what can be extracted from it in a given configuration? It is not a simple question.

i know sir this is not a simple question but i want to know the basic thing that how can i detect that the device is current operating/voltage operating.

You don't seem to be willing to do your own research here, do you. I say this because without a good understanding of fundamental circuit theory it is very difficult to give you an accurate answer.

You see a single simple BJT (2N2222A) is typically considered a current sensitive device but with the inclusion of just one resistor the whole circuit can be made into something resembling a voltage sensitive device. A collection of BJT and resistors can make what is known as an operational amplifier (μA741) that operates like an ideal voltage sensitive device.

Similarly a FET (2N4416A) nominally operates as a voltage sensitive device but again just one strategically placed resistor can make the whole circuit to approximate a current sensitive device.

A very general answer to your question is that a Bipolar Junction Transistor (BJT) is controlled with current, and a Field Effect Transistor (FET) is controlled with voltage.

sir please tell me how can we know that the FET is tg. deice whether the BJT is current operating device. please explain with example.
