DUH....because it's RARE and in high demand by collectors of vintage automobiles!

Anyhow, 150K is cheap for any 60's era Shelby Mustang!!! Something (or it's condition) must be wrong with it????????

I've noticed the same thing with old antique furniture..................it's more expensive than the new stuff at Walmart.

It's just crazy.

If you are asking that question, two things must be assumed:

1. You can't afford either.

2. You can't successfully drive either to any-where near their limits.

There is hope for you though - I think there might be one or two Ford Festivas out there on the used market somewhere.

I think it has something to do with that performance thing.

My college roommate had a '68 GT500KR. New. I think it came standard with a 428, 19 carburetors, and an afterburner. That dang thing ate 'Vettes for breakfast. Compared to it, my GTO with a 421 (and significantly less aspirated) couldn't make a decent pace car.

Maybe that's why they cost so much: not so much that they still can, but it feels / sounds so dang good?
