Cationic Materials for Chlorine Radical Capture

10/08/2011 10:34 AM

Can anybody tell me more about the materials described in this article?

http://pubs.rsc.org/en/Content/ArticleLanding/2009/CS/b710339p

Since I don't have a subscription, all I got is the abstract.

Oh ,yes. These clays have a well over 50 years history, and they keep on giving. I am quite certain you can find older books for a reasonable price for getting into it. Some advice and help from a university research librarian (thanked for it properly) might be what you need. Even the general circulation magazines, like Scientific American had a very nice and long article of some zeolites enclosing active metals for hydrocarbon cracking in refineries. It was maybe 2 decades ago. And that is the one comes to mind.

Older stuff is out there. Used books are a good source, once figured out, how to select the right ones. Good hunting!

Thanks, leveles.

I could get the article or other books from my university library since I'm an alumnus. But I won't be doing that because it isn't a project I intend to undertake or have time tp spend on - it's just a case of armchair curiosity in an idle moment. The internet is my recreation when I take a break, so it's what you see is what you get.
