Frequency ajustment problem.

11/01/2011 11:33 AM

Hi,

I have a 6kva electric generator, but some time now I can't get it to power up my inverter to change my battery and even run my wishing machine. Each time I put it on to run the wishing machine it vibrate a lot ,when I check the output I am getting 220-230v but the frequency is reading 30 to 40 Hz, each time I try to increase the speed of the generator to give me the 50Hz I end up getting over high voltage of 280-300. Guys how can i solve this problem because I need 220v, 50Hz from this gene. Or is there any component that I need to replace to give those outputs?

Regards.

You have a wishing machine !!! Can you please post a picture of that, and also give details so that we can also get one?

Seriously though, i think you have a 3-phase generator, and you need single phase? Rather a lame try, but i can't really analyse your problem....

Is it still under warranty? Is it a mechanical governor or electronic? What are the specs on the nameplate? I've been unable to find much info on any of these small units. If you are near the water, there may be a marine dealer who specializes in generators.
