Build A Paramotor

11/15/2011 7:34 PM

Based on the comments I previously received regarding the re-drilling of a wooden propeller, I am curious to hear what the members of CR4 have to say about my most recent project:

As always, any input is greatly appreciated - hope you at least enjoy the video :)

First, did you re-drill the prop?

Yup - I have a few hours on it so far, and it has worked superb. I actually prefer it over my carbon prop (in certain regards) which cost 3x as much.

Believe it or not, I actually consider myself reasonably cautious when doing things that could be potentially dangerous to myself and others (at least compared to some other people) - I typically don't "half-ass" things - Its just a matter of finding what denominator of "assing" is acceptable - For the prop i'd say its only a 1/10 "assed" solution :)

I watched the video. You're crazy.

Now that I see the prop, I guess it is OK, too. The wood is in compression, as someone pointed out in the other thread.

Have fun, be safe.
