DC Generator and HVDC

I want to replace all Alternators in power stations with DC Generator So what will be the consequences. I mean will it affect efficiency of overall power plant? Or is DC generatos has less life time compare to its Alternator counterparts?

Check the advantages of generation in AC Vs DC.

This is taught in the initial phases of Electrical Engineering. Which, going by your other posts you have already passed through.

OK for a basic-

a) What are they?

b) Why DC generation was converted to DC after about 50 Years?

c) Why the preferred generation (and usage) is AC and Transmission is DC?

These will answer your thread (most likely)

I'm struggling to understand why you want DC generators in a (utility?)power station.

What type of loads are you servicing with this power station?

Its for future development Since like north sea wind farms will use HVDC to transfer their power to inland. So if you have DC power station then it will be more efficient way to connect your power station with Grid Since there wont be any AC to DC conversion loss
