Hydrogen Gas Welding

What are the welding , soldering and joining defects caused by using pure hydrogen gas for fuzing metal similar and dis similar metal , instaneous , long term effect and properties of the pure hydrogen gas fused / welded / brazed metal as compared to regular welded components ?

If you don't already have Google on your screen, use the link provided by Garthh in post #4. Once that gets you to Google, add it to your favorites (or bookmarks). Then type "hydrogen embrittlement" (or "hydrogen welding", or whatever else...) in the Search box, then click on the Search icon (a magnifying glass on my browser - may be different on yours) or just press Return. This will give you a list of possibilities. Read the short entry for each one to decide whether it will be helpful before clicking on it. Notice that there are more pages of possibilities at the bottom. Frequently many of the first entries are advertisements, so there are commonly better responses on the 2nd or 3rd page. At some point you will accidentally close a window instead of using the back arrow, and the list will disappear. Just start over.

If for some reason this fails, I can forward some info to you.

Hydrogen gas welding is there in the AWS and International welding Institute terminologies.Some usual figures will appear in standardard welding texts.But there was nothing until 2005 where some labs recommend uses of that mainly due to risk in handling hydrogen in a commercial context
