Chemical Recycling of Plastic Wastes

What are the process parameters that should be preserved while carrying out chemical depolymerisation of plastics...??

  • temperature
  • pressure
  • equipments prefered etc...

Microwaves have proved useful for that purpose. Here is a commercial product that does that:

De polymerization for what?

Are you interested in original monomer or raw material extraction?

What sort of plastic are you handling- thermo plastic or thermo set? Addition polymer or condensation polymers? melting at appropriate temperature of thermo plastic polymers is the simplest way depending on the polymer. If condensation type polymers are involved you may have to go for chemical hydrolysis to get original raw materials.

You got to know the type of polymers that you are handling about.

sir we are planning to use PET bottles for the extraction of fuels in diesel ranges.....

Yes recycling is now plays a big part. Because population grow everyday . And all need the same thing. So if we not recycled the material then all material is gonna finish one day. And also we lost all the natural property. So to save natural property recycling is necessary weather chemical or else. Chemical recycling is always a better option.
