Effective Grounding and Bonding in Petrol Stations

Hi all,

since, i am serving as a electrical contractor for Petrol fueling stations, we are following unloading(product unload from tanker to underground storage tanks) earthing as follows:

All metal parts(unloading pipe and tanker lorry) have interconnected.

All metal bodies (both unloading pipe and tanker lorry) connected individualy to dedicated earthpits.

I want to know this procedure is OK, if not any better suggestion.

You can use a clamp on connector to connect underground tank to tank truck or fuel nozzle before initiating pumping procedure, just to be sure....

u may also use scully self proving grounding system for loading and unloading of hazardous chemicals.

search it on google.

We are using this system in our plant.

products mentioned by solar eagle also works fine.
